One search report had shown that a search was made for statistics on the difference between teasing by boys and girls. Try this page from the Kids' Help Line. You might try that organisation or the Department of Education for more information.

A forum in the Australian newspaper - "What do you think can be done to combat bullying in schools?" Why not have your say?

More searches and answers:

"pictures of bullying" - try going to Google image search and typing in bullying. You may need to sift though a lot of logos and diagrams, but you should find something there, but keep copyright issues in mind. If you wish to purchase pictures, you could try searching on stock photography in your favourite search engine. The below links provide a couple of simple, royalty-free bullying sketches that you may find handy at some stage. Pic1 | Pic2. To save just right-click the links and choose "Save Target As".

Why Boys Don't Report Schoolyard Bullies: is an interesting article in The Age (note: newspaper links only last a short time) based on a study performed by Victoria University which showed that boys "were more reluctant than girls to talk about bullying, and more likely to stay away from school if being bullied". In addition, the boys stated that "telling teachers was a waste of time because they were ineffectual in stopping bullies. They also feared peer retribution, such as being kicked and punched, if they reported bullies".

A new website covering school bullying called Bullystoppers has been brought to my attention. I wish I knew a few of the "101 Great Comeback Lines" when I was at school!

Article in The Australian: Gay student sues for discrimination. Mind boggling and saddening to think that this kind of thing still goes on in this day and age and a whole new generation of homophobic bullies are coming through. It's not as though we live in a "populate or perish" world ...

SMH article: Ex-student sues for $750,000 over bullying.

My search report shows that there have been a number of people looking for bullying statistics. To date there have been very few bullying statistics available as they have tended to be included in with harassment studies. Still, here are a few stats on the web:
