SAFETY AUDITS
OHS consultants can be found in the following ways:
1) Search for "safety consultants" in the Yellow Pages
2) Search for "safety consultants" site:au in a good international search engine or just "safety consultants" (without the au) in an Australia-specific search engine.
3) Participate in WorkCover NSW's Premium Discount Scheme, which provides incentives to employers to implement programs to improve workplace safety and return-to-work strategies for injured workers.

7. Australian Standard - AS/NZS 4360:1999 - Risk management. The scope of this Standard extends well beyond that of OH&S, and much of the OHS-specific audit information overlaps with the "Workplace Safety Kit" as per #1.

Note that these checklists are provided as a guide only and do not necessarily replace professional advice. Due to the differing risks in various businesses, these lists should be augmented by an employer's own risk assessments in consultation with workers, and in some states (eg. NSW) conducting risk assessments in consultation with workers is mandatory.
