MINE SAFETY
Generally, enforcement of the NSW OHS Act 2000 and associated legislation (eg Dangerous Goods Act 1975) in mines is carried out by the Department of Mineral Resources.
All areas of NSW which are designated as mining leases, whether above or below ground, fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Mineral Resources.
